Sustainability

Working with our host communities since 2017

We understand that sustainability is not a standalone initiative – it is integral to how we explore, develop and seek to operate our projects.

Our primary focus is the development of the Sanankoro Gold Project in southern Mali, an advanced gold development project in West Africa.

Responsible development

As our project progresses, we recognise our responsibility to create lasting value for host communities, protect the environment, provide safe and rewarding workplaces, and maintain strong relationships with governments and other stakeholders.

Our approach is guided by transparency, respect and accountability. We seek to ensure that the benefits generated by our activities contribute to local and national development while managing environmental and social impacts responsibly.

Sanankoro in practice

At Sanankoro, sustainability considerations have been integrated into project planning from the earliest stages of exploration and feasibility studies. This includes ongoing community engagement, environmental baseline work, social impact assessments and alignment with internationally recognised standards. The Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for Sanankoro was completed in accordance with Malian requirements and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standards, forming an important foundation for responsible project development.

As we continue to advance Sanankoro , we remain committed to operating responsibly and building projects that generate positive outcomes for all stakeholders.
