Meaningful community engagement is fundamental to the successful development of our projects. At Sanankoro, we maintain regular dialogue with local communities, traditional leaders, government representatives and other stakeholders.
Through community meetings, consultations and ongoing engagement programmes, we seek to understand local priorities, address concerns and ensure that stakeholders are informed about project activities and development plans.
Our community initiatives have included village water infrastructure, support for local schools and health centres, kitchen garden projects and women’s livelihood programmes.
Our focus areas
As Sanankoro progresses towards production, our focus will increasingly be on maximising local participation through employment, skills development and procurement opportunities wherever practical.
We recognise that trust is earned through consistent engagement and responsible action. Building and maintaining that trust will remain central to how we operate throughout the life of our projects.
